Holistic approach to researching island ecosystems, emphasizing collaboration and education

As part of the wider Cape Eleuthera Island School community, we aim to develop and integrate models of sustainable development and resource management that can be implemented at the local, regional and global level.

We have a dynamic research program, led by a team of expert scientist, addressing the most pressing environmental issues facing our oceans. Moreover, our strategic location provides access to a diverse range of habitats including mangrove creeks, coral reefs, seagrass meadows, blue holes, deep troughs and open ocean habitats. All of our research is enabled by an unparalleled range of facilities for field and laboratory research.

We also work with a host of international collaborators and act as a hub for exploration, research and information exchange, and visiting scientists and students are always welcome to work alongside us or to collaborate on new projects.
