Island School Shark Week

When: August 5 - August 11, 2018
Who: 16 years +
Cost: $2,295, plus 7.5% value-added tax

Highlights:

  • Research alongside scientists at the Cape Eleuthera Institute
  • Help collect data with the Shark Research and Conservation Program
  • Get experience out in the field and analyzing data in the lab

Marine Explorers Week

When: August 5 - August 11, 2018
Who: 16 years +
Cost: $2,295, plus 7.5% value-added tax

Highlights:

  • Immerse yourself in the study and exploration of mangrove, seagrass, coral reef, and open ocean ecosystems 
  • Contribute to ongoing, cutting edge research initiatives alongside scientists at the Cape Eleuthera Institute
  • Develop field skills for careers in marine science such as boating, snorkeling, fish ID, fish tagging techniques, and more
  • Live on a green campus and interact with sustainable systems in renewable energy, waste water gardens, water catchment, and food production

Coral Reef Diver Week

When: August 5 - August 11, 2018
Who: Students who are Open Water SCUBA certified with DAN Insurance
Cost: $1,995 plus 7.5% value-added tax

Highlights:

  • For certified divers!
  • Study coral biology and the important of its presence in the Bahamas
  • Learn to identify native corals
  • Live on a green campus and interact with sustainable systems in renewable energy, waste water gardens, water catchment, food production
 

Open Water SCUBA Week

When: July 29 - August 4, 2018                                   Who: 15+ years olds, with DAN Insurance
Cost: $2,295 plus 7.5% value-added tax

Highlights:

  • Learn to SCUBA dive!
  • Learn about fish identification, marine ecology and reef ecology
  • Class includes training dives, open water dives, and all gear except mask, fins, and snorkel
  • Live on a green campus and interact with sustainable systems in renewable energy, waste water gardens, water catchment, food production

Eleutheran Explorers & Teen Explorers Camp

When: July 15 - 21, 2018
Who: Eleutheran Explorers: 9-12 years/ Teen Explorers: 13-16 years
Cost: $1,295, plus 7.5% value-added tax

Highlights:

  • Participants live and learn in dorms on our campus, practicing water and energy conservation
  • Outdoor adventure, with activities ranging from snorkeling with marine life to cave exploration
  • Experiential hands on learning in marine ecology, conservation, and ‘green’ energy
  • Cultural immersion, as participants explore Eleuthera’s land, people and history
